Where to Find Information on Commercial Real-Estate, Part 2

April 27, 2014

This week’s article and the previous one are on how to find various types of information regarding commercial real-estate.

Regarding the previous article I posted, it included a website where you can find commercial properties for sale in various cities – https://www.loopnet.com/.

Also in the same article I posted about another website which is on how to get some information to learn more about the area of commercial real-estate – https://www.ccim.com/cire-magazine.

This week we will first look at a way to get information on how well different kinds of commercial real-estate are doing in certain cities. Secondly, we will be looking at how to get information on some demographics, history and other information about cities you may want to know about.

To get informed on how 4 kinds of commercial real-estate (multifamily, office, industrial, retail) are doing in particular cities – go to https://www.loopnet.com/Raleigh_North-Carolina_Market-Trends/. You will be able to get information on things like sales prices, number of days on the market, asking rent, etc.

Notice that I’ve entered a city and state. This is because you will be able to get specific information on a city of interest. Also, notice that for a state with two words such as North Carolina, there is a dash in between North and Carolina. Also, play with the different fields available to help you get information on your particular concerns.

Going on to the second part of this article – if you would like some information on some demographics and history of different cities, go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago

Notice that I included a city in the link. You will need to enter a city of interest. On the site, there is information including history, demographics, etc. on cities.
